With the kiteaid Clear Sail Repair Kit you can easily repair cracks in the ripstop material of your kite.
Simply align the cleaned, grease-free crack, kiteaid the KITEAID Clear-Sail-Tape, then let it rest for about 10 minutes and you're back on the water!
Construction:
- The Clear-Sail Repair Kit consists of three layers of transparent, crystal-clear film.
- Permanent & firmly adhering adhesive that sticks immediately to any canvas material.
- The bond strength increases over a period of 72 hours.
- This adhesive hat a UV stabilizer so that it does not lose its adhesive strength when exposed to sunlight.
- Stored on a wider carrier film for easy peeling.
Advantages of the carrier tape:
- Transparent
- Flexible, stable and light
- This material resists stitches, tears
- It is waterproof & UV-stable, and does not discolour when exposed to sunlight
- The canvas retains its flexibility in the repair area
Advantages of the immediately & firmly adhering adhesive:
- Permanent connection
- Adheres to any ripstop and treated surfaces.
- No drying time is required for the adhesive to create the bond
- The adhesive does not become dry or porous like conventional rubber-based adhesives from normal ripstop tapes.
Advantages of the wider base paper:
- Allows it to be removed easily because it is wider than the Clear Sail Tape.
- Ideal when traveling, just leave it in your kite bag.
