From Axis, extra info
AXIS T8129-E Outdoor PoE Extender offers a smart and easy-to-install solution for extending the range of your network – with no additional power supply. Without being restricted by the 100m (328ft.) limit for Ethernet cables, Axis network video products can be installed at greater distances. Simply connect AXIS T8129-E in-line with the CAT5e or CAT6 cable and power is forwarded to your Axis network video product.
Wide compatibility:
A perfect match with all Axis network video products, AXIS T8129-E Outdoor PoE Extender supports PoE, and it is both IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at and High PoE 60 W compatible. With its rugged, IP66/IP67-rated enclosure, AXIS T8129-E withstands harsh environmental conditions and challenging temperatures.
Range depends on the power required so depending on midspan and camera type the connection can in total be between 200-400 meters (656-1312 ft.). For instance, a 25 watt PTZ dome camera may be located 200 m (656 ft.) away using a single AXIS T8129-E. Or, the cable length to a regular 5 watt network camera may extend up to 400 m (1312 ft.), by fitting three AXIS T8129-E at 100 m (328 ft.) intervals.
No additional power supply:
AXIS T8129-E does not require any additional power supply and the connected network camera is fed by a single PoE switch or midspan. It offers two female Ethernet ports, which are both configured automatically for link speed, duplex and crossover and the full-rate network throughput is maintained.
